MLA Rod Loyola has lived in Millwoods for over 30 years.

Mr. Loyola worked for many years at the University of Alberta International as an academic program coordinator and student adviser. He was also President of the Non-Academic Staff Association.

Educated at the University of Alberta, Mr. Loyola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural and Economic Anthropology and History.

He is also deeply committed to the community as has volunteered with many organizations such as the Public Interest Alberta Post-Secondary Education Task Force, Friends of Medicare and the Knottwood Community League, to name but a few.

As well as performing his duties as MLA for Edmonton-Ellerslie, he serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship and sits as a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing and the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee.

He currently lives in Millwoods with his wife and two small children.
